Regency Place:
Regency Place, Wimbledon SW20, is one of Chester Row’s unique projects, harnessing
the best of original design, superb location and charming history to create a luxury
development of town houses with a private courtyard and stunning views.
In November 2004, Chester Row formed a joint venture with the owners of a special
needs school in Wimbledon with a view to redeveloping the school site. Chester Row
purchased the adjoining redundant nursing home from Hammersmith & Fulham Council
and relocated the school into a new building designed to suit its needs on the adjacent
site.
Chester Row then successfully obtained planning permission to convert the old school
building, originally a grand Victorian mansion, into three houses and to build an
additional fourth house in the same style. The result is an exciting 14,000 sq ft
residential development, comprising four five and six bedroom houses, all with gardens
and off- street parking, surrounding a central gated courtyard.
